End Ship Strikes
Mission & Approach
An estimated 300,000 cetaceans are killed every year as a result of ship strikes, making vessel collisions one of the leading human-caused threats to whales and dolphins worldwide.
By contributing to the development of a cetacean signal system, you help create an early-warning network that alerts vessels to the presence of whales in real time. This technology enables ships to slow down, alter course, and avoid collisions — dramatically reducing fatalities and making our oceans safer for cetaceans.
